When the F street store closed all the props from the huge display department on the 7th floor of the flagship was moved here in the basement and along with that I was moved here to do all displays,and later divide my time between the Silver Spring store.......and do signs for the company on the old "Morgan sign machine" and the pay was $100 a week in 1974. When I came there in 1974, Libby Meyers, mentioned in the article above was Libby Holland, (she got married) and she was the manager of hosiery and Pauline Weaver was the store manager. It later became a Pier 1 then Ethan Allen and now its a child care center.
