Two War Memorials
Two war memorials at Shoreham in Kent.
On the memorial by the river the inscription reads:- "Remember as you look at the cross on the hill, Those who gave their lives for their country 1914 - 1919."
The cross on the hill was hidden from view until quite recently, but now due to some trees being removed it can now be seen from here in the gap behind the spindly tree.
The river Darent here can be seen swollen with the Winter rains. It would be difficult to sit on the seat without wellington boots.
