Missouri Botanical Garden: ‘Jane Kluis’ is a dwarf, globular form with a flat top. It typically grows to 3-4' tall and to 5-6' wide over the first 10 years, eventually maturing to 5-7' tall. Rigid green needles radiate from around the stems in an attractive fashion. This cultivar was discovered in the mid 1970s by Rudolph Kluis of Marlboro, New Jersey. Some authorities consider this cultivar to be a hybrid (P. densiflora x P. nigra or P. densiflora x P. thunbergii).
