N Gauge Model of 47363 'Billingham Enterprise' (2)
Given a coat of dry-brushed white paint (to simulate faded paintwork), weathering powders and matt varnish. The loco is dipicted in its 1991 guise of Thornaby-ised Railfreight Red Stripe livery complete with white Thornaby kingfisher depot emblem, "Billingham Enterprise" nameplates and non-standard (for Railfreight livery) large numbers, but extremely work-worn after transfer to Tinsley depot in 1990. On this side only, the loco carries the remnants of its original number positioning below the engine room window, immediately behind the crew door. The loco carried the numbers in this position when it wore Original Railfreight livery, and were painted over with the new positioning added when the red stripe was added (and, in typical Thornaby fashion, in a non-standard way by only adding it between the cabs and around the full-size BR logo). The 'painted out' numbers were depicted by using rub-on transfers included in an old Dapol Class 73 model and carefully painted over. Yellow axleboxes also complete the model.
