A sermon on Esther: Becoming a Person of Influence

70 years ago, six million Jews were murdered in Nazi Germany. Though some in Europe tried to stand against the actions of Hitler, many did nothing and allowed the Holocaust to happen, choosing not to get involved or to influence others.

The Bible tells a similar story when an entire generation of Jews were almost annihilated by a madman. The book is called Esther, and it is a story about how God used a Jewish girl, who felt inadequate and overwhelmed, to save God's people.

The book of Esther contains no miracles and doesn't even mention God's name, yet this book shows us that though we may not find God, He is always present and working behind the scenes. God is comfortable working through the miraculous or the mundane. Join us in March as we study Esther, and see what amazing things an extraordinary God can do through an ordinary you.
