Flowering Currant or Ribes as it is called is in blossom across parts of the countryside and with it’s heavy pungent scent and glorious drips of pink red flower droplets it is a welcome sight. I have always loved this plant and maybe because it reminds me of my maternal grandma who had them in her garden evoking wonderful happy memories of my childhood.
