Kodak Handle Instant Film Camera

This is The Handle, an instant film camera Kodak put out in the late 1970's. When they first came out, I bought one and used it on a family vacation. I'm not sure where it went in the ensuing years after the handle that cranked the pictures out once they were taken got broken off. This is one I picked up for a couple dollars at the antique store downtown.

The image is a little fuzzy, but it's as close as I dared to get with my Polaroid One600; which isn't known for it's close-up abilities. I find it highly ironic that the last Polaroid instant image I'll likely ever take was used to photograph a Kodak instant camera. As you probably know, Polaroid sued Kodak and forced them to stop selling instant cameras and now Polaroid themselves have stopped making cameras and film like this. The only winners in that whole debacle were the lawyers.
