650b Camper Probably a Goeland...
Sweet bike with great potential,but she does need some tlc and a few upgrades.
** Jan Heine took a look at the photos and thinks she is probably a Goelands.
Joshua Bryant mentioned the same in an earlier photo,, good eye Joshua.
Main frame was repainted at some point, not sure why as forks are in original paint. Maybe some braze ons were removed or possibly added? The main frame could be hand rubbed to soften the look a bit and make it closer to the luster of the forks.
Derailleurs and shifters are more modern and not in keeping with the rest of the bike. It did have a brazed on derailleur mount removed from under the chainstay at some point.
There is a brazed mount on the back of the seat tube for a Huret helix style lever or cable operated front derailleur. (This detail alone helps date the bike if nothing else does).
Canti's are Frexel and need some love. Headset needs adjustment, crankset is steel and she would be nice with a period Stronglight 49d or? She does need a generator...
Wheels are not original to the bike and rims are steel which weigh her down a lot.She would look much better alloy rims and with a pair of Hetres!
Racks are great, the 3-THREE! JOS lights are super cool, this bike could be special if the new owner gave her a bit tlc.
