Lloyd's Bank- Machinery 4
Richard Rogers did not completely invent this idea- Lloyd's is actually very similar to Kisho Kurokawa's SONY Tower in Osaka from 1976. External hallways end in pods with circular windows, resembles the capsules on the Nakagin Tower in Tokyo.
The SONY tower was not just inside-out but upsidedown with it's public exhibition areas on top and services on bottom. Kurokawa was a truly radical thinker and clearly made an impression on Rogers!
