Above Redruth

Later in the day and further west the weather has improved around Redruth.

 

Walking around the Cornwall records office there was an image taken here showing the platform absolutely heaving with people. The event being the 'seeing off' of miners to South Africa so they could use their expertise securing more money from precious gems than tin and other local metals.
