A bit of activity on the old road this afternoon, despite the Kingsbury to Humber and EMT Neville Hill to Derby HST move being cancelled.
The southbound Lindsey to Kingsbury oils ran and three northbound engineering trains.
The two trains in question were 66083 on the 0730 Stevenage to Belmont down yard and
66009 and 66087 on the 11:07 Biggleswade to Doncaster Up Decoy.
The one I missed due to shopping / time constraints the 09:00 Stevenage to Belmont Down Yard.
60040 headed the 11:04 Lindsey Oil Refinery to Kingsbury Oil Sidings which passed at ideal moment if you wanted to catch two trains passing on this lightly trafficked line.
Also timely for a change was the sun which popped out on both occasions the trains passed.
