Nessuna pace è possibile laddove non c’è libertà religiosa o dove non c’è libertà di pensiero e di parola e il rispetto delle opinioni altrui. Nessuna pace è possibile senza un vero disarmo! L’esigenza che ogni popolo ha di provvedere alla propria difesa non può trasformarsi in una corsa generale al riarmo.

No peace is possible where there is no religious freedom or where there is no freedom of thought and speech and respect for the opinions of others. No peace is possible without true disarmament! The need that every people has to provide for its own defense cannot turn into a general race for rearmament.
