Take Time to Breathe
This is photo number 2 for Kim Klassen's Be Still 52 course. The objective of this lesson was to photograph a simple object allowing enough room to "breathe" and applying the rule of thirds. This year-long course is not only about still life photography, but also about finding calm or stillness in everyday life. I must say that, as a result of taking this course, I'm learning a lot about both. I had three ideas for the subject of this image. The first and third ones flopped miserably. However, I found this pretty, tiny, shiny, inexpensive tea light holder and, ultimately, I liked this image the best. Hope you like it too. :)
