Resting

In my garden this early summer, there are lots and lots of mayflys dancing their aerial acrobatics. Sometimes they land and rest, but their landings are not always as graceful as their sky waltzes they dazzle the eyes with.... the rhododendron landing whose photograph I showed last time was a bit clumsy and brusque in nature, which the pink flower pleasantly dampened.

Here, on the budding beach iris flower, the landing was more controlled and the rest for a while posed for my camera. A session that lasted a few minutes before the beautiful mayfly resumed its atmospheric ballet until the veil of twilight embraced it.☺️
