The wonderful old 40106
My first run since summer of 1982 with one of my highest mileage 40s. 2011 SVR diesel gala time. An immaculate 40106 sits at the head of a Bridgenorth bound service at Kidderminster on Thursday 6th October. My last run with 106 was on the 15.45 Holyhead to Manchester on a set of mark ones. 40106 was the only member of the class i had in England Scotland and Wales back in the days when we had a real railway.
