Taken for "Themes & Challenges: Creative Use of White Balance".
I spotted this sunset reflected in the reservoir last January, and liked how the clouds were framed by the branches. Messed around with shutter speed some in order to try to capture some of the sense of motion on the water.
Here you see two different white balances: "as shot", and then with the "tint" in Lightroom 3 moved from +8 to -102 (as shown here). "Tungsten" just made it blue, which didn't appeal to me for this scene, but the lurid green tint with the altered WB, coupled with the shape of the clouds, gave it an "end of the world as we know it" feel to me.
