HS Secret Code ?
The other day I got a piece of mangled mail from Greece, in a US Post Office plastic bag apologizing for the damage, noting that the huge quantity of US mail (nevermind that 90% of it is junk) "does not permit personal attention to individual pieces of mail". Now, I admit to being a bit paranoid* by nature (and maybe due to my childhood environment) and the content of the mail was a bit bulky, plus they did have to redirect it from my old address, but I've always received bulky mail (including redirected from an old address) with no problems before, this was from an Eastern Mediterranean country (if you know what I'm getting at), the envelope seemed to exhibit two distinctly man-made tears (a small tentative one at the top-left corner, and a second full-height one on the back only of the same end)... and then there was this handwritten symbol. Besides the fact that this particular piece of mail clearly did get "personal attention", that cryptic symbol seems like a secret code, possibly used by Homeland Security...
