Timber trestle in the 'burbs
Having had one look at Pacific National's steel shunt train to the Orrcon plant in Salisbury a couple of weeks before, I was keen to see if I could get closer to the bridge leading to the plant itself. A quick look at Google suggested a public park and walkway went close - and some free time before a few personal appointments led me to this spot. I had no idea there was still a timber trestle bridge on the standard gauge. Well, there is! It's also the site of some long-since abandoned office furniture. If the train isn't ready to return to Acacia Ridge yard before Queensland Rail's peak suburban services start, this train can sit here for a long time. 12 September 2018
