Pioneer SA 8800 Stereo Amplifier
1979
Based on new fluorescence displays, the amp line of 1979 was known as a “blue series” and is still appreciated today. The series consisted of the models SA-7800, SA-8800 and SA-9800 amplifiers. Here is the middle one Pioneer SA-8800. With 100 watts per channel a powerful amp, which also looks beautiful to me.
The mighty power supplies are oversized in terms of performance, and there are sufficient reserves even for difficult loudspeaker systems.
In the end of the seventies was not saved much material, so with 15kg weight the SA-8800 arrives an excellent amplifier my stereo classics board.
