Mow Cop

The Castle on the hill known as Mow Cop is actually an old summerhouse built in 1754 for Randle Wibraham I of Rode Hall. It is now owned by the National Trust. Mow Cop (believed to derived from the Anglo-Saxon 'Moela Copa' meaning 'bald hill' is close to the Cheshire/Staffordshire border.
