Fairford, Gloucestershire - St Mary's Church

S03 - Man in crouching position, clasping his shins, with two dogs, one on each side of him, leashed. He wears a close-fitting cap and quilted, belted tunic. Possibly a hunter or poacher.

Supporters - Formalized vine-leaf.

The misericords do not co-ordinate with the style of the church, and show signs of having been dismantled and rebuilt, so it seems likely that they came from elsewhere, local legend has it that they originated in Cirencester Abbey.
