The breakfast and lunch buffets were pleasantly unpredictable. That wedge of amber gelatin topped with a slate-grey substance? A thousand-year egg. Despite the odd appearance, it tastes very much like a hard-boiled egg.
Besides Western-friendly fare like scrambled eggs and toast, our breakfast options included sushi (vegetarian, even) and other foods that would normally be served for lunch or dinner in the States. In Seoul I had mashed potatoes for breakfast one day.
