I rather like this view of the Cathedral .....
or rather, a very small slice of it, which stands up above the mass of surrounding buildings.
The new tower works wonders for it . . . because you cannot miss it, from across the market square.
Beyond the nave, you can see a chunky tower . . . all that is left of the ancient Abbey Church.
It is in good weather-proof shape, which is so fortunate . . . because the bells have been installed within it, leaving the new tower "empty" ~ so that the hollow space inside becomes a 'lantern' tower . . to flood the nave with daylight !
