Wintertime trees devoid of foliage afford a clearer view of the ex-Midland railway viaducts at Chinley South Junction as the 'Buxton Spa Express' slows to a stand to await clearance to proceed onto the Hope Valley line, the steam special now on the second stage of its journey after departing Buxton. Moments before the arrival of the train the bright patches of sunlight on the hillsides beyond had illuminated the twin viaducts and the lower valley, but they continued to steadily roll across the countryside.....nowt much you can do about it I suppose!
