Pointless Arrow lives on!

For a few years in Amtrak's early years, they used this logo that was unceremoniously dubbed as the "Pointless Arrow."

 

Largely, it was done away with, but it's made a bit of a resurgence lately, and there are still plenty of survivors out there, such as this station sign in Independence, MO.
