Voorburg, Herenstraat, Oude kerk
Anno Domini 1275 there was already a church.The first statement about Forenburg and the church is made in a charter of the archdiocese of Utrecht. That was about the year 900. The exact date of the founding of the church is unknown. It is said that the Irish monks, who christianised the Low Countries during the 8th and 9th century founded a little wooden church
1200 the Gothic church was build with closed pentagonal choir. The tower is from the 14th-century
Towerbells by John Maritz (1781). On the east side of the south transept was a funeral chapel (1705) and vestry built (both late 18th century modernized).
The inventory include a manierist builded pulpit (early 17th century lectern 1641), a men's bank (circa 1720) and one by CJF White built organ (1878), also an epitaph (1695) for John Wierts and a memorial to the portal Seneca Ingerssen Baron van Geltingen († 1786).
