42-52 "i'd rather be over there"
A week late on the dutch angle, but better late than never. Before this assignment I had never heard of the Dutch angle, but have been guilty of angling the lens in the past. Now, I have a fancy name to give to random horizon lines.
I wasn't sure I would get this shot as it's been a busy week with my wife out of town for the past couple of days and multiple kid activities to get to. But, Friday night before dinner the kids, Eva and I made a little trip to the park. On a previous evening I had admired how the light of the setting sun played off the leaves and trees in the park. So, we went out at the right time with a long lead for Eva, and I asked the kids to play behind me while I did Eva's 52 week shots. Apparently, playing behind me is not as fun as running full speed in front of where I was shooting. Good thing they add the some much needed life and story to the photo as you can see Eva would much rather be running with them than posing for photos.
As my wife told me last year about Kael's project - "You don't often get exactly what you're shooting for, but you always like what you get". Apparently she's even right when she's out of town.
