For the first time, members of the Afghan National Police (ANP), Charlie Company 4th platoon from 1-2 Striker Combat Regiment of the United States Army, along with Canadian Forces OMLT, P-OMLT, and CIMIC teams work together during Opertation Mutay in Dand District. The Operation consisted of activities ranging from securing strategic areas from insurgent activity, searching for weapons caches to providing opportunities for members from three coalition forces to synchronize their operations and work more closely together..

Joint Task Force Afghanistan will continue robust security operations in conjunction with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA), Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF), and its coalition and civilian partners in order to eliminate insurgent violence and set the conditions for successful and sustainable governance, development and peace in Southern Afghanistan
