Can-jo
A can-jo is a one-stringed dulcimer which uses a can to serve the same "resonator" function as the body of a more traditional instrument. It is among the easiest instruments to learn, yet affords a wide latitude for song play. It can be delicately tuneful in some instances, and raspy in other instances. I bought this one from a couple in Pennsylvania via an eBay auction.
