Banded Orb Weaving Spider

The average orb web is practically invisible, and it is easy to blunder into one and end up covered with a sticky web.(I almost did.). Argiope aemula are large and abundant orb weavers who often decorate their webs with stabilimenta, which can form an "X",( just like the spider's legs) or a straight line (linear stabilimenta).
