Detail of the "temporary" WWI Navy and Munitions Buildings on the National Mall. Appears to be in the process of being demolished - but actually just looking decrepit - they were not removed until the 1970's. Pretty interesting statement on how long it takes to wind down a War - these pictures are from 1961!
