From a garage sale for about $1 - this very nice 6oz Tinner Rivet hammer is marked True Temper and Stowe KCMO. Handle is original and also marked True Temper and TMR on the end
True Temper identification became prevalent after about 1949 as the tool industry consolidated significantly. It is an interesting story by itself!
nStowe hardware was a giant warehouse that supplied tools throughout the Kansas City area and (I believe) regionally and nationally.
First group of pictures is as-found, the second is after slightly cleaned-up. I am leaving the wedge area alone at this point since there is no need to fix it as it is not broken!
A nice tool - will go into the tool box and wait it's turn.
