The Childs, Beavens and Kidwell family plots
This is just a few of my ancestors that are buried here. The last persons in the Childs plot was Susie Beavens and her daughter May. Isaac P. Chlids was my Gr-Gr-Gr-Granddad, his daughter Almira Childs Beavens Dean was my Great-great Grandmother and James Beavens was my Gr-Gr Grandfather. Their son Harry Beavens was my Great Granddad and Martha Kidwell Beavens was my great Great Grandmom who died in 1894 at the age of 26. Harry her husband remarried to Susan Cole Beavens in 1896 and their daughter my Aunt May B. Young is buried there with her Mom Susan. The Child family settled in D.C. in about 1860 and owned the Childs and Sons Brickyard near the Navy Yard until Isaac P. Childs death in 1895. The family was in D.C. until 1968-69.
Thank for your time
