Sequin
When I was 11 years old my family got a female black lab (FBL) to train through Guide Dogs For the Blind. After we had her for a year, we said goodbye and she started her official training, where she passed I think 8 levels before she failed out of their school. She had this low roaring growl that she gave to everyone she would meet. It was her way of saying "hello" and she was a very friendly dog! Because she keyed in on people and wasn't focused on her job, she came back home to live with us until she was 8 years old...
On March 16, 2004, Sequin had to be put down because she was having seizures due to a brain tumor. It was the hardest day of my life. I've been missing her a lot lately so I wanted to do something to commemorate her life. I wish I would have had a camera of my own back then; I would have had so many pictures of that crazy dog!
