Portal Gun

We've all heard of the game portal right? Well in a brainwave I thought of this weapon mechanism utalising the power of portals. Each tube contains four balls in a vacuum. The balls are sent through the portals in sequence until they reach the same velocity as a bullet. The lack of atmosphere in the cylinder allows the balls to accelerate indefinitely. Each trigger pull cycles the balls into the next cylinder and then as the group of four down the barrel. This technology can also allow a normally unwieldy barrel length to be shortened condiderably.
