Salt's Mill.
Salt's Mill is in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire. It was built by Sir Titus Salt in 1851 and was a textile mill. The model village of Saltaire was built to house the workers at the mill. Sir Titus provided everything his workers would need. There was a hospital, churches, a library and meeting hall, a gym, shops, a wash house and alms houses. The only thing he wouldn't allow was a public house!
Like most of the textile mills in Bradford, Salt's stopped producing cloth in 1986 and is now more well known as an art gallery showing the works of Bradford born David Hockney.
