Pinkiehill

Steam engines provided power on farms until they were replaced by single cylinder diesel engines and then tractors with PTOs (power take offs). They were used to drive threshing drums, corn crushers (for animal feed), pumps, hammer mills and turnip cutters.

 

Pinkiehill had the adjacent shed roof restored in November 2011.
