Deep Purple Clematis.
Found this Clematis in a garden I've passed by before and met the gardener. Yesterday I meet a neighbour. Apparently the owners come down from time to time, but basically it's empty almost all year.
The gardener loves the garden which is the main thing and takes pride in looking after it.
I was surprised to see the Clematis as the other plant that I know of near us, finished flowering ages ago.
Maybe better viewed large.
