Opening/repairing a Galaxy phone

Specific phone is a US market Samsung Galaxy SII(S2). Tools used: Craftsman mini screwdriver set(000 Philips and 1/8 flat head) + old SIM card to pry the circuitry cover off(didn't have the right pry tool or guitar pick).

Smartphone was not turning on completely. It would start to boot on; the "Samsung" logo would show for a second. Then everything would go blank and the phone would give a vibrate notification. Tried the battery out then in technique. Same thing.

Opened up the phone to see any issue with the power switch; both the outside toggle and actual switch on the board. Both seemed ok. My amateur assessment is that the logic board is damaged.
