Engineering Works - 1988

Engineering works in progress - It took a bit of detective work to pin this one down, but I believe the trackbed in the foreground is the (then new) connection to the UPM Caledonian Paper Mill, near Irvine. The main line being the single track from Barassie to Kilmarnock with Hillhouse Quarry in the background. - September 1988.
