Tasmanian Devils 1

After visiting Richmond, Tas, I drove over to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (www.bonorong.com.au). These folks rescue and rehab sick and injured wildlife. Many of the animals in their collection were injured and cannot go back to the wild. These Tasmania devils (Sarcophilus harrisii) are part of a breeding program to build up the devil population, which has declined dramatically due to devil facial tumor disease and highway strikes.
