Barcelona - The Fundació Joan Miró [4 of 5]
A construction entitled "Mercure Espagnol D'Almaden". This mercury "fountain" was made by Alexander Calder for the exhibition of 1937 in Paris. Calder was a friend of Miró. The mercury is from Almaden in Spain. The amount of mercury used must make this a valuable work of art. I'm surprised Calder did not die of mercury poisoning.
