This last visualization shows how many of the ads on the last page of Life during the years of 1935-45 and 1960-70 were cigarette ads, coca cola ads, or a whiskey ad. It is amazing that out of the 40 pages I sampled (1 every 6 months over 20 years) only 3 different products were advertised and an overwhelming amount of ads were for cigarettes. No difference between the sampled sets of years can be distiguished which shows Americas lack of information about cigarettes. For so many years cigarettes are not known to cause so much damage and based of advertisements they seem to be great products that any man should purchase.
