Tug 49 on M11, No.2

Spuds and tugs. Both give me pleasure. What a sad existence I lead !

60049 is slowly drawing forward past the trailing crossover at Rectory Junction waiting for the shunter to tell him (via a radio) to stop.

The train is seen on Radcliffe viaduct which is constructed as a viaduct and not an embankment as it acts as flood arches for the River Trent. 60049 and it's 24 TEA's will very shortly squeal and grind to a halt, the signaller will reverse the points into the oil terminal and clear the dolly all out of sight of the loco driver, a radio instruction from the shunter to the driver will see a plume of smoke and a raising of revs and decibels as the loco propels it's hefty consist back into the Total Oil depot.
