Pyewipe Road : Colas 37's 2
1Q06 the 09.42 Doncaster West Yard to Doncaster West Yard (via the light railway, Barton Upon Humber and Cleethorpes) has just surrendered the key token to the signaller at Pyewipe Road signal box and restarts it's journey around North East Lincolnshire.
Colas liveried 37219 also looking immaculate, leads whilst 37175 brings up the rear.
Running very slightly early the time is 11.58 on Monday 6th July 2015.
The Network Rail track recording train makes one of it's regular forays round the Grimsby & Immingham Light Railway.
I was on afters and it's schedule meant I could catch it close to home but couldn't chase it up the Barton branch as I might of otherwise hoped to do.
These test trains generally don't really float my boat but when there's a pair of 37's passing within 200 yards of your front door It'd be rude not to.
The train had run from Doncaster up to Barnetby and Brocklesby Junction before continuing on the Cleethorpes line as far as Marsh Junction where it took a left to send it round the light railway.
It covered the route up to Immingham East and then on to Immingham Reception and Humber Road Junction before reversing and heading back to Marsh Junction retracing it's steps over the light railway.
I loitered at Pyewipe Road in order to catch them twice before heading home and work.
