Inspired by the visionary bulb designs of Dutch designer, Jacqueline Van Der Kloet. She often plants bulbs into established perennial beds in a freeform style to create a more natural effect.
Mine are nothing near what she achieves but I'll give it time to naturalize.
Her method is to toss combinations of bulbs at random and then plant them where they lie at their respective depths -- which I've attempted here.
There's Camassia leichtinii in the foreground surrounded by a randomized mix of Tulip 'Spring Green', T. 'White Triumphator' and Allium 'Purple Sensation' coming into bud.
