Common Frog Rana temporaria temporaria

I lifted a plant pot out of a chimney pot garden ornament and found this underneath. There were hundreds of cherry stone husks under the pot, the kernal was eaten out of each one. They were obviously stored on purpose, but by what? I now know what ate the cherry stones, a Wood Mouse. Since the pot was flush to the ground, how did the frog get there?

We saw about 20 frogs in the garden today, mostly males.
