MCABW To Host ‘Looking Haute’ Ladies Night Out September 30
MCABW To Host âLooking Hauteâ Ladies Night Out September 30
The Montgomery County Association of Business Women (MCABW) invites the public to their fourth annual Ladies Night Out. The theme this year is âLooking Haute,â and event organizers promise to showcase the hottest Texas-friendly fashions for fall.
The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30 at the April Sound Country Club. The eveningâs festivities will include raffles, silent auction items, appetizers and a cash bar. The featured event will be a Women of Influence style show directed by Stacy Harris. Influential members of the MCABW will serve as models including Monette Smith, publisher of ReviewIt Magazine; Nelda Blair, director of The Woodlands Township; Nina Marino, realtor at Keller Williams; Amy Milstead, president of Milstead Automotive Group; and Carol Gooch, founder and executive director of the MCABW.
âOur models are all very successful women, who we often hear about and read about. Weâve been inspired by them,â said Donna Wick, leader of MCABWâs special events and fundraising team. âWe want to encourage women of our community to be an influence in their own sphere â everyone can be a model of success and a champion for other women.â
Proceeds from the event will go to the MCABW Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships for Montgomery County graduating girls from the class of 2011 as well as community women looking to complete or advance their college degrees. All donations are tax deductible, and there are several ways to support the MCABW. Individuals may purchase advance tickets for $45 per person and $40 each for a group of ten. Individuals are also encouraged to donate raffle/silent auction items. Businesses may become event sponsors, at levels ranging from $250 to $2,000, and are provided opportunities to market directly to Montgomery County businesswomen. Sponsorships and tickets may be purchased online at www.mcabw.org.
âWeâre really excited about this yearâs Ladies Night Out,â Wick said. âMCABW is a powerful womenâs business group, committed to lifting up other women through education. Itâs a tremendous cause, and the evening is going to be a lot of fun.â
The MCABW now has over 350 members. The group hosts a Ladies Night Out each year as one of their special events. In addition, they hold a number of programs throughout the year that provide a forum for local businesswomen to develop and enhance professional and personal relationships.
