Chapelle Saint-Pierre in Villefranche-sur-Mer

The Chapelle Saint-Pierre (Saint Peter's Chapel) dates from the sixteenth century. Used as a storeroom for local fishermen's nets and equipment for most of the 19th and early part of the 20th century, it was eventually restored in 1957. The interior of the chapel was decorated by the artist Jean Cocteau with many paintings/murals. Unfortunately, it is not allowed to take pictures of them.

Villefranche-sur-Mer is located on the French Riviera between the city of Nice and Monaco.
