Simba on the cover

My old cat Simba on the cover of

a 1990 calendar. My father took the

photo of her. The first time I saw it

was in a book store in Toronto!

Simba was a awesome cat, my

Mom rescued her at the Humane

Society back in 1986 when she was

bringing in some injured baby bunnies

the neighbors kids had found. A

little old lady was in the drop- off

area, holding a pet carrier and crying

her heart out. My Mom told her not

to worry, she would give Feathers

(her original name) a good, loving

home. She was 2 yrs old at the time,

and a huge, gorgeous, loving cat.

We believe she at least part Maine

Coon, if not all. She had a lot of the

Maine Coon traits, and was very

dog-like in her personality.She lived

to be 20 yrs old! We will miss her always!
